Not at all. While my background is in sports physiotherapy and high-performance football, I treat general musculoskeletal complaints — back pain, neck stiffness, shoulder issues, knee pain, post-surgical recovery, and persistent pain — with the same active, evidence-based approach. You don’t need to play sport to benefit.
Yes. I regularly manage post-op rehab for knees (ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair, knee replacement), shoulders (rotator cuff, labral repair, stabilisations), hips (arthroscopy, total hip replacement), and ankles (ligament reconstruction, fracture ORIF, Achilles repair). I work directly with your surgeon’s post-op protocol and use the same criteria-based return-to-sport testing used in elite football to confirm you’re ready to load the joint again.
No. In Australia you can book directly with a physiotherapist without a referral. A GP referral is only required for specific schemes such as Medicare EPC plans, DVA, or some workers’ compensation claims.
Initial consultation: $130 (45 minutes). Subsequent consultations: $120 (30 minutes). Moreton City Excelsior players and staff receive a 25% discount on all consultations. Most major private health funds rebate physiotherapy via HICAPS at the time of consult.
Yes. HICAPS is set up through Halaxy, so most major private health funds (Bupa, Medibank, HCF, NIB, Australian Unity, and others) can claim the rebate on the spot. You only pay the gap.
Yes — all four are accepted. DVA: Gold and White card holders welcome with a valid GP referral; billed directly to DVA. WorkCover Queensland: bookings welcome with an approved claim number; billed directly to WorkCover. NDIS: plan-managed and self-managed participants can book directly (agency-managed participants need to go through their plan manager). Medicare EPC / CDM: GP-referred patients with a current Chronic Disease Management plan are welcome; Medicare rebate applies, small gap fee may apply.
Comfortable training clothes you can move in (shorts and a t-shirt is ideal), any relevant scans or specialist reports, your private health card if claiming, and your football boots or sport-specific footwear if relevant to the assessment.
Initial assessments run 45–60 minutes so I can take a thorough history, complete a full physical examination, explain the diagnosis, and start treatment. Follow-up appointments are typically 30 minutes.

Yes. I have particular experience with junior and adolescent athletes — especially football players from junior development squads upwards. Children are welcome with a parent or guardian present.
Yes. Return-to-play testing comes with a written report covering strength, hop, and movement results that you can share with your coach, club, or treating GP/surgeon.
No. Dry needling is included as part of your standard session at no extra cost when it’s clinically appropriate. It’s used as an adjunct to active rehab, not a stand-alone treatment.
